Eric Chan is the Program Manager at the Mobility Research Center at Carnegie Mellon West. In addition, I am Consulting Faculty for the eBusiness Technology program in the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University. Most recently, I sold a company that I started, Caboodle Networks, a software company focused on smart recommendation for mobile search which utilized the Semantic Web, ontologies and software agents. I have worked at several mobile companies in Product Strategy (defining mobile products and services) and Business Development (helping companies with International expansion from the US to Europe & Asia) roles. I also speak regularly at conferences and event around mobile content and services.

I host a blog, Mobileslate, which covers topics in mobile/wireless content and services as well as the mobile lifestyle. My current interest include: mobile payment, SMS voting, mobile search, and the Semantic Web.

For those of you who wonder what mobile devices I am currently carrying, as well as what I have used in the past, visit my Device Gallery on my blog, Mobileslate.
