Abstract: The goal of this project is to teach children the concept of energy absorption and how automobile bumpers affect the impact of collisions. The children will be able to test bumpers made of different materials on a small vehicle. An accelerometer embedded in the vehicle will visually indicate the magnitude of the maximum deceleration during a collision using a series of LED lights. The children will be able to produce this collision using a ramp with a wall at the base which the vehicle will crash into. This will allow the children to visualize the impact force felt on a vehicle during an accident and learn how different materials affect this force. It will also help children understand the factors that affect the severity of car crashes.

Well, no one uses hypercard any more (that I know of). Here is a little repackage I did of this guy's work involving the steam tunnels at CMU.
