Abstract
Our project addresses the issue of Copyright Infringement. Copyright infringement is the unlawful use of material that has already been registered with the U.S. Copyright Office. Using someone else's idea in an academic paper without giving that person credit and sharing MP3s over the internet are examples of copyright infringement. Copyright covers not only the orignial author's exact words, images, or music, but the basic idea. Producing something that resembles the original too closely, making a knock-off Gucci bag for example, is also copyright infrigement.
Our project defines copyright infrigement and suggests ways to avoid it. We will do this through a 10 to 12 minute presentation and a power point presentation. Each grop member was responsible for researching and explaining a certain aspect of copyright infringement. To see who did what, please visit our Project Management page.
