Research interests

I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Second Language Acquisition program (Applied Linguistics) at Carnegie Mellon University.  The focus of my dissertation project is the impact of incipient trilingualism on the linguistic and social development of elementary school children in Israel.  In this study I will investigate how the acquisition of two additional languages (English and Arabic) by native speakers of Hebrew affects the development of their first, second and third languages.  I will also look into development of attitudes towards other ethnic groups and how they relate to language acquisition.

Other research interests include ESL teaching methods, Multilingualism, Second Language Reading, Second Language Fluency, and Language Attrition.
