School curriculum should be centered on basic subjects such as reading, writing, history, math and science, which I believe are the essential elements necessary for student education. However, students should also be active participants in the learning process and should be encouraged to explore the concepts in ways in which they can relate.

Students learn best when they are engaged in the process rather than just by reading about them. Education should help prepare students for interacting in the world after graduation. To this end, curriculum should aid in the development of students’ abilities to think deeply, analytically and creatively. Basically, students need to be information literate and able to analyze and solve problems outside of the classroom.

Regarding testing and reinforcement, it is my opinion that students learn best through positive reinforcements. Therefore, regular testing or evaluation is necessary to gauge where students are in the learning process, and to also help identify areas that educators may need to spend time reviewing. We can't help students if we aren't aware of where they are having issues with the subject matter.

When the lesson plans break the information down into smaller segments, each of these parts can be analyzed, helping students learn and receive positive reinforcement for each area, as well as helping the educator know what portions to reinforce with additional instruction.
