SWEEPSTAKES
at Carnegie Mellon University
2009 - 2010
Sweepstakes - more commonly known as Buggy - is a racing competition among fraternities, sororities, and independent organizations in which teams build and race composite vehicles to see who can navigate the on-campus course the fastest. In existence since 1920, yet constantly evolving, Sweepstakes brings together the best in hands-on engineering, organized athleticism, and dedicated drivers in school year-round practices and an annual race representing the uniqueness of the Carnegie Mellon student body.
