(7/14/2006) Christi came to visit. She loves plants and gardening, so I took her to the Phipps Conservatory. Here she is in one of the long connecting rooms.

(7/14/2006) Man, does this girl drink a lot of coffee. This is her most guilty look in front of the conservatory's coffee plant.

(7/14/2006) Christi made me a delicious dinner of Greek salad and spicy spaghetti, as well as hummus with pita bread.

(7/15/2006) Wow! They had a guy do the ultimate high-dive into this seemingly very shallow tank at Kennywood.
(7/15/2006) We didn't ride anything except rollercoasters and bumper cars all day. This is the view from the "front seat" line at the Thunderbolt.
(7/15/2006) I got the clever idea to take a picture facing Northward as the Thunderbolt reached the top of its hill... but it looks like I busted a Kennywood employee and his girlfriend getting some "unauthorized amusement". Zoom in with your photo editor to see into the seamy underbelly of Kennywood!

(7/15/2006) The highest point in Kennywood from which you can take a picture is the Phantom's Revenge's ascending slope. Here is a picture Eastward. There's the Thunderbolt, where I got the last picture from.
(7/15/2006) And Northward we have a large industrial center across the river.
(7/15/2006) Westward, you can see the other side of the park.
(7/15/2006) And here is a shot Eastward just before the Phantom's Revenge goes over its steep descent slope. That funny scaffolding is the Skycoaster, which was really expensive ($40 for two riders) but looked like a lot of fun.
