| Typically, I'd say that if you want to know more about me, you should talk to me yourself. However, I'll one-sidedly advertise my better traits since you ended up here. I've lived in Pennsylvania for my entire life, and while here I've been doing noteworthy things since a young age. I competed the state spelling bee three times: I distinctly remember misspelling "decorous" and "cetacean", but I don't remember the other word I misspelled. If I've seen something written and heard it pronounced, I can generally remember the spelling forever (excluding, of course, proper nouns, foreign and hyphenated words.) I have a bunch of medals and certificates from local math and programming competitions from High School, too, but I never did anything very lucrative there. The most impressive honor I received was to compete in the ACM World Finals in Prague in 2003, where I represented my undergraduate institution: Shippensburg University. In Spring 2005, they awarded me a bachelor's degree in each of Math, Computer Science, and Physics. I have one brother, Grant, who is currently serving as a United States Marine. The two of us have been mistaken many times for identical twins despite a four year difference in age. I have numerous hobbies: other than programming contests, I play Go, rock climb, play racquetball, work on my coilguns, and play Dance Dance Revolution. Professionally, I have done a lot of research on String Theory and Supersymmetry, but my primary area of interest now is in the physics of computation. For now, I have my master's in Physics from CMU and I am pursuing research interests in condensed matter, computer simulation and combinatorics.
