Philosophies
We are born only knowing our own sphere of exsistence. As we grow and change, events happen that we try to explain to ourselves. Time goes by and we continue to grow and learn. Whether we realize it or not, we all have our own philosophies on life. We all see a different view of exsistence. The concept of philosophies is an attempt to explain our own search for an explanation; we seek to relate everything to ourselves in some way so as to survive emotionally and physically. In the end, the path we choose will make all the difference. Here are a couple links to some interesting takes on life. The point being, MAKE UP YOUR OWN MIND.two different translations of the Daodejing
crimethink deoxy Some other philosophies that have influenced me are Christianity (being the prevelant voice in US "culture"), and Objectivism. The reason i have not put links to anything to do with these things is that for Objectivism, none of the sites up are really objective. funny. If you really want to learn about it you should read a book by Ayn Rand and form your own oppinion. The tone many of the "objectivists" take in their rants is reminiscent of timecube. It's kind of a loud, bold, in your face so much that you don't have time to think "wait, this is silly," argument. As for Christianity, that's a tough one. The church is corrupt, yadayadayada... The whole "cannonization of the "bible" and translation has distorted the text. besides, Jesus wasn't christian, he was a revolutionary. (aside from the whole being the son of God thing).
