            Reverse turn

            Technique in Reverse turn: ftwk, rise and fall, posture, dance position, smooth heel leads, extending the leg when traveling back, swing

           

International Waltz (routine):

1)      LF prep step (ct. 3)

2)      Natural turn

3)      Closed change step

4)      Reverse turn

5)      Whisk

6)      Chasse

7)      Natural spin turn (to end DW new LOD)

8)      Change step

*start over (minus prep step)*

 

International Rumba:

1)      Basic

2)      Fan

3)      Hockey stick

4)      Alemana

5)      New Yorkers and spot turn

6)      Cucarachas

We did not specifically do a routine; however, 1-3, 5-6, or 1-2, 4-6 would both make good routines.

 

Quickstep (routine):

            Long side:

1)      Walk on LF (ct 8)

2)      Quarter turn to R (SQQS)

3)      Progressive chasse (SQQS)

4)      Forward lock (SQQS)

5)      1-3 Natural turn (SQQ)

6)      Tipple chasse (SQQS QQS)

7)      Natural Hesitation (SQQ SSS)

Short side:

8)      Progressive chasse to R (SQQS)

9)      Back lock (SQQS)

10)  Running finish (QQS)

1)      2 walks, progressive side step, walk

4)      Closed promenade

5)      Rock turn

6)      Closed promenade w/outside swivel ending

7)       Natural twist turn

 

Foxtrot:

1)      prep step

2)      Feather step

3)      Reverse turn

4)      Three step

5)      Natural twist turn
