"Modeling Learning to Reason with Cases in Engineering Ethics: A Test Domain for Intelligent Assistance"

Abstract:

Dr. Pinkus will report on an empirical study of the effects of a semester
course of case-based engineering ethics on the ways students analyze
problem scenarios. Dr. Ashley will report on an  empirical evaluation of an AI model of how cases  operationalize (i.e., extensionally flesh out the
meaning of) ethics code provisions.
