How to setup up IP address printing in
Hamburg Hall (Windows XP)
Go to Start > Control Panel > Printers and Faxes and click on
'Add a printer' to start the wizard.

Add printer as if it was attached to your computer. We will create a
local printer port using the printers IP address that will make the
printer appear as being local.

Create a new port using TCP/IP:

Type in the IP address of the printer. You can find the IP addresses of
all printers when you connect to \\enterprise in Hamurb Hall and check
the properties of each printer that you areconnected to.

You can use 'Standard', just click next.

We have a couple of different printers on the network. The one for this
tutorial happens to be a HP Laserjet 8000, PS. When connected to
\\enterprise check the names of the printers that you are connected to.
The printer model is part of the name.

After these steps, click until finish and you should have the printer
installed on your machine. You can delete the printer that you usually
connect to through \\enterprise. However, you will not be able to check
the printer queue or the status of the printer when using IP address
printing. In that case, you gotta stick to the old way of logging onto
\\enterprise.
