Job Update
Hey, I got a job with Hyland Software Inc., a content management and knowledge management company. The company headquarter is in Cleveland, OH. I will be trained as a Workflow Software Engineer in Cleveland and then based out of London, United Kingdom.

Self Introduction

I have just graduated from the Master of Information Systems Management (MISM) program at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA. Prior to coming to CMU, I have been a student at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration (Wirtschatsuniversitaet Wien, Vienna, Austria) in the MBA program and at Vienna University (Universitaet Wien) in the Department of East Asian Studies in the Chinese Studies program (Institut fuer Sinologie). I have been an exchange student at Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics (JUFE - see Erfahrungsbericht in German) and in the MBA program at the Graduate School of Industrial Administration (GSIA - see Erfahrungsbericht in German).

Through several projects during my business school time I got very interested in information technology and I wanted to know more about it. It was not until that time that I heard about the MISM program. After seeing the curriculum and after talking to some faculty members and students I decided to apply. And here i am....

Upon graduation I would like to work at the interface of business and technology, and Western and Chinese culture, preferably anywhere in the US or in China...

Pool Billiard
I have been playing pool billiards for quite a while. I think this sport requires an incredible combination of concentration, endurance, strategy and technical skills. I have participated in 4 world championships, 6 European championships and more than 200 national and international tournaments since 1989. My last full season was 2000/2001. I am a member of the Austrian Pool Billard Federation and the European Pool Billard Federation. During my CA Trip I played a small handicap tournament, mhhhh, I think I am getting back into it...any hints on upcoming tournaments?? [update: I have played 3 tournaments at Shootz Cafe on the Southside(Pittsburgh), first, second, first...]

GSA Rep
During my time in the MISM program at CMU I was a Graduate Student Assembly Representative, find my agenda here.

Personal
My father is a carpenter (Tischlermeister) and has a small company in Austria. If you are interested in getting some first class advice on design or want to have handcrafted furniture, please take a look at the Tischlerei Rindler Website.

Over winter break 2002, Alex, Devin and I went for a trip to California. We had a wonderful time hitting the bars for ice cream and beer. 594 Miles on  Highway 1 from San Diego to San Francisco (nice stopover in San Luis Obispo) were a little rough, but the trip was great!!

Check out the picture links section above for the latest trips to the Allegany Reservation for the Seneca Nation Indians which are one of the Six Nations (Haudenosaunee- People Building a Long House). Also, Alex, Anand, Jen and I did a trip to the McConnell's Mill State Park in Pennsylvania.
