I am a third year PhD student in the Joint CMU-Pitt Program in Computational Biology. I work with Prof. Chris J. Langmead at Carnegie Mellon, and Dr. Pratul K. Agarwal at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. My work involves understanding the evolutionary link between enzyme dynamics and catalysis using a variety of computational techniques (including detailed molecular dynamics simulations) and computer science methods including multi-way analysis and random-walk theory. Take a look at my research page for more information about my work.
Apart from being a Mac fan(atic) and cool-gadget (translate to electronics) addict, I am also a connoisseur of Carnatic Music. I play an instrument called Veena (which is very close to the lute) and also a singer. I am learning Carnatic music from Sri. D. Balakrishna and Sangeeta Kalanidhi Sri. R. K. Srikantan.
