American Heart Association

Western Pennsylvania District

The American Heart Association (AHA) is a voluntary health care agency that devotes all of its human and financial resources to one goal: the reduction of disability and death due to cardiovascular diseases and stroke. To achieve this goal the AHA supports research, public and professional education, and community service programs.

Service Opportunities:

  • General Office Functions- Assist with mailings to donors and coordination of materials for volunteer meetings.
  • Programs-Assist with implementation of cardiovascular education programs in schools, worksites and the community.
  • Revenue Generation-Assist with planning and implementing special event fund-raisers in Allegheny County.
