Pittsburgh Cancer Institute


The Pittsburgh Cancer Institute (PCI) is one of 27 National Cancer Institutes designated as a comprehensive cancer center. It is the only such center in Western Pennsylvania. PCI was established in 1984 to strengthen and expand available cancer care resources withing the region. Through developing new, more effective approaches to cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and care, the Pittsburgh Cancer Institute achieves its mission of advancing science to improve care.

    -Patient and family guide
    -In-patient unit assistant
    -Patient and Family Education Center volunteer staff
    -Healing power of the arts volunteer
  • Laboratory Reasearch
  • Administrative Support-clerical activities such as filing, typing, copying, running errands, and answering phones, helping to complete large mailings, data entry and verification
  • Special Events- include everything from throwing parties to implementing fund-raisers.
