Service to the Carnegie Mellon Campus

Many of our service projects are directed towards the campus. Many of these projects occur on a semesterly or yearly basis.

Some of our campus projects
  • Book Exchange - We sell used textbooks on consignment and donate 15% of the sales to a literacy fund.
  • Buggy Board - record the buggy races times and scores.
  • C-Book - the campus student directory.
  • Carnival Concessions - hot dogs, funnel cakes, you name it, we sell it for Carnival.
  • Football Concessions - hot dogs, pizza, coke, etc. sold at Tartan home games and sometimes soccer games.
  • Freshman Packets - collate the freshman packets with info from all the organizations on campus.
  • Kent D. Schaffer Memorial Scholarship - Each year we offer a scholarship for a non-APhiO-affiliated undergraduate who exemplifies our three cardinal principles of Leadership, Friendship and Service.
  • Magic Bus - buses at Thanksgiving and Spring breaks to New York, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C. (We used to run a shuttle to the airport, but PAT has a $2.00 airport bus, route number 28X, now.
  • Ushering Greek Sing - help with ticket sales and ushering patrons at Greek Sing, the largest Social Fraternity/Sorority philanthropy event of the year.
