MEAL BLOCK REFORM PETITION
Based on the results of a preliminary survey, we have formed the following objectives. These suggestions were supported by a majority
of those surveyed. In order to create a dining option more economical as well as better suited to the needs of the student body, we propose the following changes:
• Rollover unused DinEx at the end of each 2 week period with a fixed maximum of twice the starting amount
• Allow multiple blocks to be used in a single meal time
• Make less restrictive time constraints for meal periods
• Remove the Schatz-only dinner blocks
• Provide more availability in dining options on weekends
• Create more options for meal plans with customized number of meal blocks and DinEx
• Allow vending machines to take DinEx
• Create more options for sides with blocks
I, the undersigned, agree that the current meal block system requires reform and the above objectives be taken into consideration.
