Supporting Carnegie Mellon Solar Splash
We are designing and building the boat from the beginning this year and need funding. Our budget includes purchasing materials for a hull, steering system, solar panels, batteries, paint and other parts integral to building and designing the boat. Additional costs include transportation and registration fees for the competition. Sponsorship will be important to our success in 2007.
We are asking for donations of around five hundred dollars, but any type of contribution would help our cause and would be greatly appreciated. As a sponsor, your company logo will be imprinted on the boat, as well as on our organization T-shirts. This could undoubtedly be a great way to not only further get out your company name, but also to show support for alternative fuels and for student involvement and research in the technology field.
