Bat Boy the Musical |
Dates: Friday, October 15th at 9pm; Saturday, October 16th at 2pm and 9pm |
It was like any normal night when the three Taylor kids discovered a
half-bat, half-boy in a cave deep in the hills of Hope Falls, West
Virginia. Or rather, he discovered them-- and sends Ruthie Taylor to the
hospital with his bite. Perplexed, the town sheriff leaves the bat boy
in the hands of the wife and daughter of Hope Falls' only veterinarian,
Dr.
Thomas Parker. While "Edgar" (as Mrs. Parker and her daughter, Shelley,
call him) has difficulty learning at first, he soon grows to be a fine,
civilized gentleman--even moreso than some of the locals in Hope Falls.
But when Ruthie Taylor dies mysteriously in the hospital, the town is
convinced that Bat Boy is to blame. To make matters more complex,
Shelley has fallen in love with him! Is Edgar a beast or a human being?
Will he ever be able to live comfortably in Hope Falls? Find out in the
thrilling tragedy from off-Broadway, now a Homecoming production of
CMU's own Scotch 'n' Soda
Theatre: Bat Boy the Musical. |
