Preamble

WE THE MEMBERS OF THE CMU RACQUETBALL CLUB STRIVE TO

  • Promote racquetball at CMU
  • Improve individual skills

AND FOR THESE ENDS WE PROVIDE

  • Free membership
  • Coaching
  • Access to courts
  • Competition & Tournaments

Article I

Names and Insignia

Section 1.

This organization shall be known as any of the following:

  • The Carnegie Mellon University Racquetball Club
  • Carnegie Mellon Racquetball
  • CMU RC
  • rballclub

Article II

The Executive and Administrative Body (EAB)

Section 1.

The EAB shall consist of:

  • President
  • Webmaster
  • Events Coordinator
  • Treasurer
  • Advisors

Section 2.

No one but the President shall have power to alter or amend this constitution.

Section 3.

No member of the EAB may be removed from office except by unanimous vote of the remaining EAB.


Article III

Membership

Section 1.

Membership shall be free and open to all, regardless of gender, skill level, experience, age, creed, and race. We follow the Carnegie Mellon Statement of assurance.
 
Section 2.

No member of the club may be suspended from membership except by the unanimous vote of the EAB.


Article IV

Elections

Section 1.

One member of the EAB must notify all members when there are vacancies that need to be filled, and arrange for fair elections to be carried out for all open positions. A date and location must be secured via SpaceQuest to hold elections.

Section 2.

Only current members of the Club may run for one or more open positions.

Section 3.

For any vacant position, majority votes wins.

Section 4.

A graduating or otherwise retiring member of the EAB may name a successor, in which case the position is not considered vacant.
