Carnegie Mellon University Majorettes
The CMU Majorettes female dance uniform is a one-piece red tunic with gold sequins and gloves. It costs approximately $100 and is ordered from Algy. The male uniform is a matching jumpsuit. For an idea of the jumpsuit, see Algy; to order, talk first with the Head Majorette and Joe.
If you do not already own black boots, please purchase Nancy Boots (approximately $35 from Algy).
Be aware: expect up to 8-10 weeks for the uniform to ship out—you should order it in May to have it before the football season! Please consult with the Head Majorette prior to purchase as we may have a uniform for you already.
The new and prospective members do not have time to order it before the football season begins; the prospective member uniform should be practiced in and approved by the Head Majorette before it can be worn to a performance!
Returning members must own a uniform; the cost can be defrayed through fundraising. The Majorettes will not purchase or fund a uniform from a member who quits, orders the wrong uniform, or orders the uniform prior to making a commitment.
