BME Departmental Evaluations
The Carnegie Mellon Graduate Biomedical Engineering Society (GBMES)
would like to obtain the opinions of the Biomedical Engineering
graduate students on the performance of the Carnegie Mellon University
BME Department as well as GBMES through the completion of our annual
evaluation. The evaluation will be taken this year as an online
survey.
The purpose of this annual evaluation is three-fold:
1) To provide the BME Graduate Advisory Council (GAC) and the BME
department with feedback from the BME graduate students,
2) To provide the Graduate Biomedical Engineering Society (GBMES)
with feedback from its membership – all BME graduate students.
3) To show faculty and staff appreciation of their invaluable contributions to the BME graduate student experience.
The GBMES executive board will compile all of the content from
completed and submitted departmental evaluation forms into an official
document. At a meeting with the GBMES president, vice president and
the BME department head, the GBMES president and vice president will
present this summary to the BME department head. Topics in the summary
will be discussed at this meeting to underline our feedback. Top
ranking faculty and staff will be awarded certificates of excellence and a token
of appreciation from the student body at the next departmental seminar.
The GBMES executive board will compile all of the content from
completed and submitted GBMES survey forms into an official document
which will be presented at the next general body meeting by the GBMES
president and vice president and opened up for discussion. The
feedback from the survey is used by the GBMES executive board to guide
the planning of future professional and social events and provision of
student resources.
This anonymous survey must be completed by July 13, 2008 at 12:00 PM.
To access the survey, please go to Survey Monkey.
There are two pages for this evaluation, so please click the "Next"
button at the bottom of the first page to access the second page.
Please fill out the survey only ONCE per graduate student.
Your survey responses will not be submitted to us until you click the
"Done" button at the bottom of the second page of the survey.
Although this is an optional survey, GBMES strongly encourages full
participation from all BME graduate students.
For information about faculty and staff, please go to BME's faculty page.
If you have any questions, please contact the Vice Presidentby visiting the Executive Board page.
