"DOING GOOD"

Sticking true to our motto, Do Good, DG puts philanthropy and service hours as a high priority. Our national philanthropy - Service for Sight - is an organization that assists the visually impaired and raises awareness for vision health. Locally, the Beta Nu chapter regularly volunteers at the Western Pennsylvania School for the Blind where we work with students who suffer from visual impairment. Throughout the year, we assist the school with various events such as their Lion's Club Christmas Tree Sale.

In addition to working with the School for the Blind, DGs participate in a wide variety of service events. Delta Gamma Grandmas is a way through which we reach out to the Pittsburgh's senior citizen community. Every Sunday, sisters visit the Shadyside Rehabilitation Center and spend time with the elderly. Twice a year, our chapter hosts Charity Denim - a venue through which we sell discount designer apparel and give the proceeds to our philanthropy. Also, we hold service events with other sororities, fraternities, and campus organizations.
