The Carnegie Mellon Water Polo Club was founded in 2000 by a small group of undergraduates as a co-ed team. In 2003 the club became a member of the Collegiate Water Polo Association as a part of the Mid-Atlantic Division and has competed ever since in the fall men's league. During the spring the team travels to open invitational tournaments.
