Conference location

All sessions will take place in the Adamson Wing, (room 136A) in Baker Hall, Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh. Campus map. Baker hall is built on a slope. The door will be unlocked at the extreme uphill (East) end. Other doors may be locked on weekends. Proceeding downhill, room 136A is a glass door on the left.
Walking routes to Baker Hall from local hotels:

The 28X Port Authority Bus leaves directly from the lower level of the airport and arrives in Oakland. The terminus is CMU so you can even snooze on the way. It has a dedicated busway that bypasses rush hour traffic freeway and costs only $2.75. Taxis and commercial vans do not have access to the busway and cost more. Allow an hour for the ride.
Super Shuttle. Shared van pickup and delivery at any address. Attendant dressed in blue at ground transportation level of airport. Fare: $23.00.
Yellow Cab. Large lighted sign and taxi line at ground transportation level of airport. Nonstop service. Handy when arriving late at night. $50.00+.

Holiday Inn University Center (412) 682–6200. Map. 1 mile from Baker Hall. The 28X bus stops a half block away at Fifth and Tennyson. The hotel has a free shuttle van to Baker Hall.
Wyndham University Place (412) 683–2040. Map. 1.3 miles from Baker Hall. The 28X bus stops at the hotel at Forbes and McKee.
Courtyard by Marriott (412) 683–3113. Map. 1.8 miles from Baker Hall.

- $68.00/night per person in a Double as a Single room (1 person per room) with linen in an A/C traditional style room.
- $37.00/night per person in a Double room (2 persons per room) with linen in an A/C traditional style room.
Check-In: The Check-in/out location is Donner House. The office is open from 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM EST Monday through Friday, with 24 hour on-call coverage Monday through Sunday. Official check-in time is 3:00 PM EST and check-out time is 12:00 PM EST. Room key cards are activated and deactivated based on the above check-in and check-out times. There is no formal procedure for check-out.
