  • The house is comprised of four main components:

  • (1) A single linear core piece which functions as the primary container for all of the mechanical systems, distribution paths, etc.

  • Attached to this core are three pods, or living modules: (2) The Kitchen Pod, (3) The Living Room Pod, (4) The Bedroom Pod. These pods offer the owner a flexible space without the burden that mechanical systems impose.

  • This creates the hierarchy of served and service spaces.

    The design of the team's house was a collaborative effort from the Architecture students, lead by Design Group Leader Cathy Chung.
