RESEARCH INTERESTS: Agent-based design methods, optimization

Lindsay Hanna , Ph.D. Candidate

is a Ph.D. candidate in the mechanical engineering department at Carnegie Mellon University.  Lindsay received her bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Rice University in 2005 and has always been intrigued by the design process.  Her research goal is to allow designers to more fully and efficiently explore product design space using optimization and computational methods.  Lindsay is currently exploring the possibility of using agent-based algorithms to intelligently generate and evaluate Pareto designs based on changing and ill-defined customer preferences.
