ARCC
is the Awareness of Roots in Chinese
Culture Organization. Our goal is to increase awareness
of Chinese culture on the CMU campus by sponsoring open
events such as the Mid Autumn Festival, Night Market and
Chinese New Year. In the past years, ARCC has contributed
to the CMU campus in many ways. Since its recognition in
1998, it has held an event almost every month to expose
the CMU campus to the many facets the Chinese culture has
to offer. We structure the events to appeal to those who
already know about their culture as well as for those who
find the Chinese culture fascinating. Both non-members and
members have benefited from ARCC. For example, in our highly
successful Night Market Event, we had over 11 Asian student
associations participate, while hundreds of other students
and faculty attended. In addition, many of the events we
hold are in public areas in which the admission is not charged.
We
hope that you will come and visit us at our events and consider
the benefits of our membership. If you have any questions,
feel free to contact any of our officers.
