What advice would you give to help reduce parent-adolescent conflict.

One of the main points in the lecture focus on how adolescents interpret certain behaviors as personal issues whereas parents see them as social conventions. When they disagree as to the nature of the issue, there are conflicts. So, based on research, if both understood how the other was thinking about the issue, and tried to explain why they thought it was personal vs social convention, then maybe they could agree on the type of issue or at least understand why it is a conflict.

A common complaint among teens is also that their parents don't listen so getting parents to listen and respond to what the child is saying might also help.
