Description

This course introduces fundamentals of computing that are important in the design of digital media. Students are introduced to various computational concepts that are related to communication design, through hands-on programming exercises as well as lectures. Topics include basic programming concepts, computer graphics, information structure, object oriented analysis of design problems. No prior programming experience is required.
 

Requirements Students are expected to complete 4 programming exercises, mid-term quiz, and final exam.
 
Grades Grades will depend on programming exercises (70%), mid-term quiz (15%), final exam (15%).

Your exercises will be evaluated based on:
  • completeness of your program
  • your understanding of basic programming concepts
  • quality of your visual and interaction design
