Validation

After having narrowed our scope, we decided that the human-agent would be designed to improve roommate interaction by addressing 3 main user needs: communication between roommates, scheduling, and sharing food/utilities/space. Users expressed their need for better communication between roommates, especially during busy times when they often miss one another when entering/leaving the house. Also, individual schedules could be learned, in order to keep track of common free times among roommates as well as to be able to find one another if needed. Sharing living space was another issue identified by users. They found that it was often difficult to keep track of splitting utility bills, rent, and supplies. Therefore, we designed our human-agent to focus on improving communication, scheduling, and sharing space among multiple roommates.
