This course is a graduate-level class in conduction  and radiation heat transfer. The first half of the course will cover conduction. We will explore analytical techniques for solving multi-dimensional conduction problems, both steady and unsteady, for a variety of boundary conditions.  We will use numerical techniques to explore more complicated problems.  In the second half of the course, we will study radiative exchange between surfaces as well as radiation in participating media.  Both analytical and numerical techniques will be developed.
