Game Description:                 3-D Robot Shooting Game similar to ¡°Virtual-On.¡±  Players assume control of Robots that roam and fly around 3-D interactive arenas in attempt to destroy the other player.

-         Multiple Weapons and Power-ups

-         Selection from Three Robot Classes

-         Deformable Landscape

-         Radar, Stats, and Timer

 

Technical Features:               -     Third-person camera with spring model

-         Data-Driven Levels

-         Collision-Detection

-         Quadtree & Culling

-         Quaternions

-         Models Imported from 3dStudio Max

-         Multi-Texture with Transparency

 

Implementation Plan:             Original source code and content for ¡°SegFault¡° will include      the following:

Source code and content acquired and used from outside sources include the following:

-         OpenGL Particle Effects Library

-         Textures from Web

Schedule:                                -     Nov. 3 – Project Planning Meeting

-         Nov. 11 – Heightfield, Culling, Collision Detection (with crude bullets) , Camera Working.

-         Nov. 18 – Models Imported with Complete Life Stats, Weapon Stats, and Power-ups.

-         Nov. 23 – Animations and Deformable Landscape

-         Nov. 26 -  Turn-in Project Review Documentation

-         Dec. 8 – Radar, Timer and All Other Miscellaneous Features Implemented.  Bugs fixed (if time, write AI or Network-Capability)

-         Dec. 13 – Code Complete
