Design discussion

During these three lectures, we discussed distributed collaboration systems, such as Lotus Notes^TM. We began with a simple high-level discussion of their features. We moved on to a high-level architecture. And, we finished up by discussing the specific distributed systems challenges and the techniques that could be used to address them.
