"Furniture made from obsolete computers" Students made furniture out of "dead computers." The School of Computer Science donated 25 worthless computers, valued at about $250,000 only six years ago. The class tried to turn the C-junk into E-art. The pieces were exhibited in the College of Fine Arts Building Exhibition Hall, from Oct. 7 to Oct. 14, 2002. One of the pieces, "Sling Chair 49", made of hard-disks platters, was reported on Tartan newspaper.
