About Me:
I'm an environmental historian and assistant professor at
Roosevelt University, where I teach in the Bachelor
of General Studies/Bachelor of Professional Studies program.
I completed my dissertation on the evolution of scrap recycling
businesses in Carnegie Mellon University's
Department of History
in August of 2002 and published a
book based on the dissertation at the end of 2005. My research and
teaching interests include
environmental, urban, social, technological, and business history,
primarily
of the United States since the mid-nineteenth century, but also in
global contexts throughout human history.
